About Geeta Kulatilake

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on Person-Centred Therapy and CBT to offer support tailored to your unique needs. Sessions are confidential, compassionate, and designed to help you manage anxiety, ease depression, and regain a sense of calm and control.

If you’re facing the emotional challenges of fertility struggles, anxiety, or depression, I’m here to support you with care and clarity.

My Journey into Counselling

I would like to tell you a little about myself and my background. My name is Geeta Kulatilake and I am a level 4 qualified counsellor with a background in Biomedical sciences.  Although I did not start my work career initially in counselling, I have always had an interest in mental health at a young age. My journey and interest in listening therapies and counselling began in my early 20´s, volunteering on a charity helpline for depression and anxiety. Since then, the interest only grew until I decided to re-train as a counsellor a few years ago.

I provide UK wide online counselling sessions with an empathetic,  listening ear without any judgement. My intention is to be able to guide you through difficult processes, by helping you understand your situation clearer, acknowledging your own resources to be able to make your own choices.  Being listened to and accepted can be the first step in relieving stress and emotions in order to make good changes in one's life. I also provide the opportunity to explore and challenge your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Of course  the session content will be client-led and we can work through issues at your own pace. My aim is to  work together to bring about changes and practical coping  methods to suit each person through developing a safe and trusting client counsellor relationship.

I also recently volunteered with a leading charity organisation that offers emotional support to people experiencing distress, mental health challenges, or simply in need of someone to talk to.

My Experience

I am a Level 4 qualified counsellor and a member of ACCPH and BICA, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and person-centred techniques. My work also incorporates elements from other therapeutic approaches, including psychotherapy.

I am committed to ethical, safe, and effective practice. My work is supervised, and I regularly undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and further training to continuously improve my skills.
